Following a successful presentation on the BBC's Dragons' Den programme, the inventor of a device to prevent baths from overflowing approached Sovrin to assist in the development and industrialisation required to bring the product to market.
Cleanroom injection moulding specialists, Sovrin Plastics have added a Fanuc Roboshot 2000i- 300B-350T to our growing fleet of all-electric injection moulding machines. The 350 tonne machine with its 6-axis robot linked to an over-clamp product conveyor has been installed and validated in one of our ISO Class 7 cleanrooms to meet the ever increasing demands of the company’s many customers within the medical, pharmaceutical and electronics industries.
Over 70% of Sovrin’s 52 moulding machines are now all-electric. They offer superior process capabilities, repeatability and reliability whilst consuming significantly less power than their hydraulic equivalents. The new 350 tonne machine is Sovrin’s largest machine to date whilst our smallest machines of 5 Tonnes are capable of producing micro mouldings of a few milligrams.
Major investment has also been made in Sovrin’s in-house toolroom to provide mouldmaking and servicing facilities to support this addition to the company’s injection moulding capacity. .
This further stage in the continuous development of the production capability at Sovrin has created sufficient interest to justify purchase of similar machine which is due for delivery in March 2012.
